DEDICATED TO PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR PERFORMERS OF ALL AGES
The Chelmsford Competitive Festival has been established in the city of Chelmsford, Essex for over 60 years. It is a celebration of talent, creativity and performance, bringing together participants from across the region to showcase their skills and passion.
WHEN IS THE FESTIVAL?
The festival runs over the first two weekends in November at The Quaker Meeting house, St Cedd's School and Trinity Methodist Church in Chelmsford. We have classes for all ages and abilities in the following disciplines:
PIANO
BRASS, WOODWIND & RECORDERS
STRINGS, HARP & CLASSICAL GUITAR
CLASSICAL & MUSICAL THEATRE SINGING
SPEECH & DRAMA
PLUS PLENTY OF CLASSES FOR GROUPS AND ENSEMBLES

Friday 6th & Saturday 7th November and Friday 13th & Saturday 14th November 2026

IF YOU'D LIKE TO PARTICIPATE JUST DOWNLOAD THE SYLLABUS, CHECK OUT WHAT CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR POETRY RECITAL, ACTING, INSTRUMENT, GRADE AND AGE. CHOOSE A PIECE YOU'D LIKE TO WORK ON FOR YOUR PERFORMANCE AND COME ALONG TO SHOW OUR FANTASTIC ADJUDICATORS WHAT YOU CAN DO. YOU'LL HEAR OTHER PEOPLE PERFORM IN YOUR CLASS AND WILL RECEIVE CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK ON YOUR PERFORMANCE. ITS ALL ABOUT TAKING PART, HAVING FUN AND SHARING YOUR SKILLS WITH OTHERS.
